What you get

Built for the way badminton is really played.

The screens below are samples with made-up players.

Ratings

A rating that actually fits you.

Levels move in small steps like 3.4 and 3.8, not three vague boxes. Every player sits in one of nine bands, from Beginner to Elite, so you can tell a notch apart and find games that match.

  • Hosts set a range, so you only see games that fit
  • Rated by people you've played with, anonymously
  • Your level shifts as more players rate you

Waiting pool

Game full? You're still in it.

Join the pool and see exactly where you stand, like 2nd in line of 5. When a seat opens, hosts bring people in, or switch on automatic seating, and you hear the moment you're in.

  • Your place and the size of the pool, always visible
  • First in, first in line
  • A cancellation turns into a spot, not an empty court

Selective alerts

You choose exactly who gets alerted.

When a spot needs filling, the host or co-host picks which of their connections to notify. Only those people get the alert. Nobody else is pinged, and nobody is spammed.

  • Chosen by the host or co-host running the game
  • Pick people one by one, or everyone at once
  • Anyone who muted or blocked a host stays out, and a daily limit keeps it polite

Match-ups

Play for fun, or play for points.

Hosts line up the matches and mark each one Friendly or Competitive. Friendly is just for fun. Competitive counts, and beating a stronger team earns more.

  • Points come from the level gap, so they're fair
  • Your wins and losses stay private to you
  • Whole sessions scheduled in a few taps

Leaderboards

See where you stand.

Two boards: everyone on Deuuce, and just the people you've played with. A fresh round every 20 days, with gold, silver and bronze for the top three.

  • Shows matches and points only, never your record
  • Hide your name any time in Settings
  • A fresh start every round, so anyone can climb

Find players

Find your next game partner.

Search players near your level, send a request, and once they accept you can invite each other to games. Everyone controls who can ask them and at what level.

  • Search by name or browse by closest level
  • Your connections stay private to you
  • No messages from strangers

Questions

Good to know.

Is it free to use?

Finding games, joining, rating players and your profile are free. When a host books a court at a partner venue, the host pays the court fee plus the payment gateway's charge, shown before paying.

Who pays for the court?

Only the host pays, in full and upfront, by UPI. Deuuce doesn't split costs between players inside the app.

What if a game is cancelled?

Everyone in it is told straight away. For a booked court, the host's refund follows set tiers: more than 5 hours before the game, the full court fee; 3 to 5 hours before, 40%; inside 3 hours, none. The gateway charge isn't refunded when you cancel. If Deuuce has to cancel the booking, you get back everything you paid. The details are on the refund page.

How do ratings and levels work?

After a game you rate the players you met on a slider from 1.0 to 5.0. A player's level is worked out from the ratings they receive: each person who rated them counts once, with their latest rating, and the last three months count most. It's shown as one of nine bands from Beginner to Elite, with the number of ratings behind it. Ratings are anonymous, and the chart counts each rater once, with a switch to count every rating.

What are the nine bands?

Beginner, Beginner+, Amateur, Amateur+, Intermediate, Intermediate+, Advanced, Advanced+ and Elite. Your level is a number like 3.4 or 3.8, and the band is where that number sits, so two players in the same band can still tell they are a notch apart.

What is the difference between Friendly and Competitive?

The host marks every match one or the other. Friendly is just for fun and changes nothing. Competitive counts for the leaderboard: beating a stronger team earns more points, and a much stronger team that loses can give up a few. Matches with a guest, or played to fewer than 11 points, are always Friendly.

Can I hide from the leaderboard?

Yes. One switch in Settings shows you as Deuuce user instead of your name and photo. Your points keep adding up, so you can switch back any time. The board only ever shows matches and points, never your wins and losses.

Who gets alerted when a host brings people in?

Only the connections the host or co-host picks, nobody else. They can choose people one by one, or everyone at once, and players who have muted or blocked them are left out.

Do I need to book through Deuuce to play matches?

Match-ups, scoring and the leaderboard work for games whose court is booked through Deuuce at a partner venue. A game arranged somewhere else still works for finding players, the waiting pool and ratings.

Who can see my details?

Your name and photo are visible to people in games you've joined or hosted. Your phone number and email stay private. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Deuuce works in your phone's browser. Adding it to your home screen makes it open in one tap and lets it send you alerts.
